Default What's Your Base Timing???

Just a question for those who have a B16/18 Turbo.....what do you have your base timing at, and also what is your timing under full throttle?? I'd just want to try and figure out what is an established "safe" range for timing on a turbo car.

You sure that's not total timing? Seems high. . .

Same.

Stock

Its always best to set the base distributor timing to stock, and tune the ignition map.

If your engine is low compression and/or bigger displacement you can add a little timing to the whole vaccum part of the map to increase off boost power and to get a better transition into boost.

Yea I am at 16 degrees at the distributor......I am tuning with Hondata so you say I should just tune the boost section in the program and not the base timing?

Are you familiar with Hondata?? If so, on the ignition maps how do you determine your actual timing? Is the the program value minus or plus the base timing? Or is the program value the actual timing?
