Default Where to mount pump/filter?

Here are two different areas where I was thinking of mounting my pump and filter. The first picture is of them in the car next to the fuel cell. The second picture is under the rear axle. Any reason why there would be any problems running it in car(with the pump being higher than the sump?) or above the rear axle? Thanks for the help.

you want the flow of the fuel to have natural tendancy to flow downward use gravity in your favor. In your setup you could possibly run the pump dry if the fuel shifts or moves which can cause failure. If you run it at lost point it always will have some fuel fed by gravity.
