Dipstick holder lose........?
About a month ago i was checking my oil, and noticed that the dipstick and its holder were lose. Didn't think much of it, until this morning I was replace my battery (with an Optima
) and decided to check my oil and the whole piece came off (I was like WTF) and it was a bitach to put back. So its just chillin in there right now, put can easliy come off.
How can I fix this? and will it damge my car if not replaced?
Thank you for your help in advance

I had the same problem on my 01 gsr, and a bunch of people have had the problem on here. bbasso gave you the link.
but anyways mine was covered under warranty, put a new tube in and has been perfect since. they did have to remove the exhaust mani though.

DIY here, problem solved for over a year or so now.
Totally depends on your confidence I guess and mechanical know how.
Hell even I'll leave the finer things to guys with better skill.
But the dip stick tube is a very basic and easy DIY fix.
