Dipstick t00b is loose... :|
Anyone else have this issue?
Once my car is warm, the dipstick tube loosens up allowing rotation and even removal.
I have tied the dipstick/t00b down using some wire that is looped under one of the header shield bolts...
Oil + hot stuff = :FIRE:
I know of one other 2001 ITR owner that had this issue...
'JB weld' is how he fixed his...
Thoughts?

It seems like the t00b was a interferance fit to begin with... Maybe purchase a new t00b from the dealer and see if it is a tight fit to install.
If not... some JB is by friend.

-who would like to have a new block... but would not trust the dealer to install it.

Do any of you leak oil because of this?

Slow leaks are a lot safer than a splash of oil on the header.

What is the deal with this guys? Should it be fixed under warranty or just leave it?
Had the same thing. Dealer replaced it under warranty. Go there now! The last time I checked the oil, the tube spun around the wrong way after the dipstick was out. Could not twist the tube back and could not inset the dipstick either. went to the dealer the next day and complained.
I fixed mine by getting some JB weld, putting it on lightly on the tube's very base.I then used a open ended wrench and tapped on the wrench with a hammer.
As for one of the questions from before. No it is not threaded.its just like the rest of the tube it's round.
Willard: I had the problem also...I was driving for 30 mins and all of sudden my dipstick came loose, splattering oil all over the block...So my buddies and I used JB WELD
to solve the problem...But make sure to let it dry for 24 hours...

Seriously...
Z man told me that the stock breathing capacity of the Arrr is not ample for constant high RPM thrashing.... the black gold will find a way out somewhere. In your case the dip stick.
