Thats about right. What I do know is that 14 lbs blew a perfectly good motor in 3 weeks. Just FYI.

Are you guys on crack? 6-8psi is ******* weak, especially on a b-series motor. Anything less than 10-12psi is a waste on any motor if you ask me. It's all about good fuel management and tuning. With shitty fuel management you could blow the motor on 5psi, with good tuning you could run 15psi no problem, too many variables to answer your question. Lower the compression a bit and you shouldn't have any problems boosting 10-12+ psi. Also don't waste your time with a greddy kit, build a good custom kit.

well, he did say on a stock motor which probably mean without any fuel mangement or tuning, and even with that! 15 psi is way too much for a "stock" motor, but then u change ur answer to 10-12 which is more like it.

well actually that is with the fuel management not the tuning though but it will be tuned wanted to be safe though without hurting the block and run pump gas and it be reliable and not mess up the rings or anything.

i rember in ss or scc there was a miata that ran like 30 psi on a stock engine. so if that crappy motor can do that im sure you could get 15 psi with good engine mangement.

uh... The 1.8L BPZE miata motor is an iron block with factory forged internals, a B16 ISN'T.

I have a BPZE sitting in my kitchen... all iron, all forged.

You have no idea what your talking about. Boosting without any fuel management or tuning is ******* retarded. What "psi" you run doesn't mean ****, there are too many variables, 10psi on a T4 turbo isn't the same as 10psi on a T3 turbo. B16 internals can handle 300whp safely with a good tune, doesn't matter what psi it takes to get there.

it can safely handle about 900 pounds of boost until 3rd gear where it's more like 1000 or so

Nobody can answer your question. It depends on fuel management, tuning, size of your turbo, etc... Like I said you could get 300whp out of your B16 if you do it right, so 250whp, 275whp, whatever man... I would defintely lower the compression a little bit though just to be safe.

yeah right you CAN get 1000+ whp out of it. The problem begins with how you drive it.

If you race alot, use cheap gas and have a heavy foot I would stay on the safe side of 9lbs max

Yeah i was going to put a headgasket on there for now then later change the bottom if i can get 300whp i would be happy with that but 250 275 not bad with that either going to be searching for some setups though making decent power right now but want to hear that blow off valve. what's a good one to get that's loud.......
