an aftermarket system for a 96-00 hatch...u might need to put a high flow cat or it might bolt right to the header

i got a megan racing system off ebay for about 270. i had to use a high flow cat and extend the stock header pipe a abouit 2 inches for it to fit right. i didnt bother with an aftermarket header cuz i knew i was going turbo

and besides the slight headaches with fitment, im very happy with it...its all stainless, skunk2 copy, mandrel bent, sounds great, and only cost me about 270 shipped for a catback

oh yea, i just read ur gonna stil be using a cat so thats fine...i think most aftermarket systems consider that u will be removing the stock header with the cat and putting one after the header, so they make it to bolt up there. just try to ask the manufacturer for details like that...

yes, but thats not mandrel bent. idk any shop around me that does mandrel bending.

and for JDM96 dude, i was wondering if the ebay exhausts came up to where it would if you relocated your cat. which it looks like in the pictures. but i just wanted to make sure.

well like i said i kept the stock dx ex. mani w/cat, added a high flow, and had to add about 2 inches for it to fit right...it was a lil short. are u getting a stock ex header or aftermarket?

already have the aftermarket ex header. just waiting to get everything before the install.

one think i knw for sure is that the ex header goes to where the " downpipe " off of the car meets the factory exhaust system.

dude, go to http://www.kteller.com and order the piping from them and just look up a 96 civic 3dr and have a local exhaust shop install it for ya. thats what i'm gonna be doing next week when my paypal clears. they take paypal too which is hella tight.

if you order a cat or a resonator with that piping its gonna fit for ya. its just a matter of the shop fenaggling(SP) it the right way to match up

so your saying, buy the mandrel bent peices seperatly then have a shop do the welding and cat work?

i guess that would work, but it would be cheaper to go on ebay.

http://www.kteller.com/store/p...9b6cc

and besides, i usually do my own work, i dont want to ahve to take it to a shop.
