Switching injector clips to OBD1. Does wire polarity matter?
Just like the title says. I'm switching my OBD2 injector clips over to OBD1s so I can run my RC 550's. Now, does it matter which way the wires get hooked up? Because the OBD1 clips I have came off an old vette and the color wires are yellow /w black stripe - blue, yellow /w black stripe - red, yellow /w black stripe - brown, and yellow /w black stripe - solid yellow. I'm guessing that the yellow with the stripe is either positive or negative on all of them being that that's the only constant color. Does it really matter which way the injectors are wired up?
Thanks.
Thanks.
The YEL/BLK wire is the 12V switched into the injector. This should get soldered to the YEL/BLK wire on the harness for each injector. The other wire is the injector control [ground] coming from the ECU.

It doesn't matter.
It doesn't matter.
It does matter. .
I had mine reversed and it kept popping an ECU fuse everytimg I turned the key.
So at least it mattered in my case. .
