Drove my civic last week a few days to work. Was able to find my MPG, currently getting like 21.6. Buddy says it should be higher and suggested I do a compression test. so next chance I get I am gonna pick up a kit and get that checked out. weather been messing with my car time, and now its holidays.

What size bolt and nut did you use for that setup? Where did you get it? Been having the same problem with the oem ones.

Finishing up some welds and giving the subframe a protective layer of paint to prevent rusting.

Well I didn't do much to mine but add some new speakers all the way around. Full kicker front and rear. Didnt take pics cuz it was late but it sounds better then the blown memphis audios that were in there.

Got some new shoes! 02 Si wheels with Riken Raptors (we gets some snow here so I couldn't go with anything more aggressive)

Also changed all fluids (Mobil1 Synthetic 75-90 gear oil in trans and 5-30 in motor)and installed a new master ans slave for the clutch. No more leaky master! This car is awesome, 2 weeks in and I'm really enjoying it.

Coming from an EA Si, i think this car has a bit more power especially down low. Even got 45 mpg on my first fill-up, I thought my fuel gauge was broken it wasn't moving hardly at all, but in 190 miles I used only 4.2 gallons.

Next is the Drums as they're making noise and the brake pedal has too much travel.

Not sure where you got to put 75-90 into your tranny.

Should be Honda MTF, Torco MTF, GM Synchromesh Friction Modified or if all is not available, 10w30 conventional (not sythetic) motor oil.

I do not believe I have ever seen any Honda Guru or Honda Tranny Guru recommend any of the normal gear oils like 75-90.

Nice white hatch, nice MOMA steering wheel. I put a chipped p28 ecu im my EM1 and now car won't start. I think its either bad p29 or I need to do something with the dizzy. Really not sure. I emailed my tuner, so maybe he can give advice. cheers

Still getting bad mpgs...starting to think it could be my timing. I don't think I timed it right electronically. Was told there is a 2prong plug that's by the ecu that I need to jump to keep the car from adjusting timing as I time...time-caption. anyways I didn't know that till after I timed it, which did help it run better, but I went back to try and fix my error and I cant find this mythical plug. bad mpgs till I find it. open to suggestions or tips though

Not sure where the plug is on your '97.

For me it is the plug you jumper when checking codes...

speaking of wiring coming through the firewall, that whole harness is just one piece right? I'm to trace mine and just removed the evap and blower, glove box and bar last night on the passenger side. And I can see were it comes through, but it looks like it goes past my heater core. And I'm not too excited to see that. Does that passenger side disconnect at the fuse box under the driver side there? [I already have it unclipped from all the tabs in the engine bay and was ready to bring it through the firewall. So one hacked through the stock harness pretty good...] Also I didn't remove the dash yet. :/
