Picked up some spare suspension to rehab off the car to minimize downtime. First thing first. Get the bushing bolts out. Then replace the bushings (later).

Thank god for premixed flames, amiright?
I saw you twisted a few bolts, too. I was hoping to reuse these bolts after zinc plating or black oxide phosphate w/manganese plating but I don't think I should. Were your bolts this fucked up?

Not my eg but a friend's/competition, helping him strip down the body for restoration after their shop caught fire. Luckily mostly cosmetic damage.

This morning, I waxed the roof of my wifes car. Yesterday I cut and polished the oxidized roof to see just how bad it was.
The pictures tell all, clear coat is beyond saving....
At least it's reflective and smooth again.

Re: Tell Us What You Did To Your EG/EK/Del Sol Today
Removed my damaged rear wing. Took a while to get around to this, but the PO had left heavy tools on it and it was warped and scratched. I am getting a replacement.
I also removed an antenna that was added to the roof by the PO. Now I need to find a plug for the huge hole. It will not be perfect with a plug, but way better than the huge antenna that was on there.
Any ideas on a plug I could use?

Really though, long term plans are twofold. First, now, that the paint is cut and polished, we can have an aftermarket manual sun roof added for added head room and highway ventilation. I'm not sure if they would grind the edge down to metal before doing the body sealer on the lip so I figured it would be wise to remove the oxidation so the sealer has a better surface to bond to.
Then get the rear fender rust repaired for a full respray. Wife likes pink so my compromise is to do White with a heavy red pearl clear midcoat. Heavy enough to look primarily pink but I can claim it's a white car. Or maybe a little more subtle so all the angles have a strong pink hue while directly looking at it looks white. *shrug*

I sort of wondered if a clear would fix/mask the fogged and missing clear coat.

Stripped out the stock wiring/fuse boxes and fabbed in a metal battery tray for a full sized battery under the dash.
Found out how the wiper works, very simple setup.
Starting the engine bay cleanup but cant really get too into it until I fabb the rear diff setup and measure the driveshaft length to get one made by Driveshaftshop.

Cutting some things getting those measurements. Progress is progress. Tad from driveshaft shop is suggesting a 2 piece driveshaft, he's the expert, gonna trust him on that.
