RS- Its probably fine. Only thing I can think of is if your distributor may be advanced or retarded but I wouldn't mess with it if everything else is working.
Maybe i should keep it and put it on my other EF to slow it down because it causes mad JDM drag. then ill post tons of pictures every day so you can hate it even more.

Auto Combine...? autox?

Busy sat for me.
Woke up 7am to go pick up gear at MAP to setup for Dopery Event at 9am.

Since the Dopery event didn't start until 4pm, I snuck out to attend the EF & Japanese Nostalgic Car Meet 45mins away from 11am-2pm. There was a decent amount of EF's out (15 or so). I was kind busy and forgot to take pictures before a lot of them left early.

Made it back to the event by 3pm.
I didn't have time to detail the car and there was ton of break dust on the wheels & some people gave me crap about it, but when I asked them if they track their stanced cars they had zero excuses... #STFU hahaha

mirror fit decent.

weight? haha when i was building the car weight didn't even cross my mind cause I thought every's ef/eg hb weighed similar to mine would. Boy was I wrong. haha.
Now i kinda wish it was under 2200lbs at min cause that's what most people expect. But i'm at closer to 2400lbs. I just gotta make more power & get bigger tires haha.

I have hood shocks but took them off at gingerman & couldn't put them back on myself....not strong enough to compress the shock to fit them back on.. lmao....

I picked up some really fair priced Del Sol seats and got some covers for them. I'll post up pictures when I get them installed. I'm super excited. I'm tired of the torn up vinyl with bed sheet seat covers.

Any ideas on what kind of wrinkle black rattle can paint I can use on my valve cover? It needs to be temp resistant, right?

That's what I have on it now and it held up just fine. But I use the high temp stuff, which is probably over kill. I think I'll go with this:

http://www.vhtpaint.com/products/wrinkleplus/

350F, I assume my valve cover doesn't get that hot since I can actually touch it after it runs.

the DIY methd takes more time & long term finish is hardly worth it.

just powder coat it
better finish
won't soak up oil
won't flake over time

I can vouch for this ^^ these pictures do not lie! way better than OEM I have purchased three different covers from Charlie already. Two were black like this one and the other is hot pink. Every single one was outstanding and even better than what I was expecting. I tried the rattle can method and the results look good but only until the cover gets dirty then it looks like poop. Powder coating is the way to go!

Fancy. I've always been a DIYer though. This is just a hobby for me. Something to fill my spare time with. But I will look into the powder coating it.

Question:
I am in the market for a LSD for my YS1 trans (XSi trans?). I've run into a JDM OEM LSD with ~80k on it. Is it worth picking up and what should I pay for it? I have been looking at MFactory LSD units up until now. All of which were new.

I'd say my set up is basic. Sub 300 hp.

The longevity is worth it. Not a huge cost either if you factor how many time you redo the VC.

Sorry I dont have any input on the trans.

Guys - I have noticed more and more that a number of the Japanese market cars tend to run the 55 series tires, they were even on a set of used wheels I picked up a while back.

Any advantage to the 55 series? On a 15" wheel, I have to admit, I kinda like the doughnut look to it, lol. Def dont have to go very low.

Just ordered the "race" bolt in roll bar from Autopower for the EF! Cant wait to get it and put seats/harnesses in the car!

Not in a EF, but it looks identical to this. I will be keeping full interior as well.

Autopower fits so well. Quick install, I obviously didn't keep the rear interior though.

Yeah, I was going to have a custom one built, but in the end the Autopower was a easier, cheaper and better option for me at this point. If the car ever goes full time race car, I will have a custom full cage built.

I don't get the point of having the rear seats in. You cant use them so why not take em out and save some weight?

Its a street car, I like how the car looks with full interior. They also damper noise, so its more bearable for long trips. Im not worried about being lighter at the moment. Plus there isnt enough weight to the back seats to make much of a difference anyhow.
