Lmfao what makes them not a true full coilover setup? Because the perches aren't built into the shock bodies? Lol I had a guy ride in my dc which has my Ef Koni/gc set up on it and he said **** this rides nice and smooth he is running tein full coilovers and preferred my Koni/gc over his tein! Koni has more adjustability for the price. You can adjust the spring/perch mount (almost like a pre-damper in a sense) as well as the shock rebound being adjustable. Imo for the money there is not a better setup that you can purchase. Plus you can change spring rates or have the shocks revalved. Idk up to you but id never go with a different set up myself.

That's exactly what makes them not a true "full coilover". With a true full coilover, you aren't compressing the spring to get your desired ride height. I'm not saying one is better than the other, but I have ridden in a couple of cars with koni/gc setup and I admit, it rides better than my Ksports. The question is, do they perform as well? Back when I bought my Ksports, a koni/gc setup was just as expensive, or a little higher. So, I went with the Ksports. I have recently been thinking of selling them and buying a koni/gc setup.

Anyways, just because a setup performs well, doesn't mean it should be called a full coilover. BTW, I'm pretty sure you can get custom spring rates from any coilover manufacturer. I'm ordering new springs with my shocks for the rebuild I'm doing on my Ksports. Came with 8K/6K at the sellers recommendation, but I think I want 10K/9K...

Eh, now I'm rambling. It's too early. What rates are you guys happy with on your ground control/koni setup (just in case I decide to go that route instead of rebuilding my Ksports LOL)? I don't want terribly harsh, as I do drive the car about an hour up to the mountains and to import alliance. It's not a full track car.

Yea your right. With a full coilover you have that adjustability. I had buddy clubs on my FA5 and to lower the car you would spin the shock body, leaving the spring preloaded, it was nice.

10k/9k doesnt sound too harsh. I think that would be a decent setup for daily. Me personally i like my suspension stiff, plus ill be tracking the car regularly. I think i might opt for 12/14k

I think Energy Suspension Poly is the only thing available.. or all Ive found. I hear no front sway is a better deal anyway.. or hollow HF.

I coated my mine and did the ES.. not sure if Im going to use it.
Sure looks pretty tho.

Im getting worried about my spring rates. there wayyyyy too low Im thinking(400f/300r). Not sure with everything being stiff with bearings how it will react. Bought them a long time ago before plans went this big though. Only one way to find out I guess, finish the car and use em. just buying new springs is easy enough..

I have an HF front sway that I've gotta put on my Si. Also have the HF bumper support, but it's been tweaked, so I gotta try to straighten it out. Makes my bumper fit like crap.

I made it about 45minutes out..and turned it around before I hit the toll bridge. My buddy who runs in the 10.5 index called me to say they sold out of tech cards and he was just parked out watching. Herd they locked it down at 1pm to spectators, not letting anyone else in. My friend left at 6am, sat in 6 hours of traffic to get denied running... Other buddy who left late, 10am (as i did) just to be a spectator, made the trip and got denied when the police shut down all the roads and started ticketing everyone who just parked and walked. Glad I turned around!!

Atco is just not big enough or organized enough to host such a large event. Spring Nationals at E-town should be a good one.. They even made Honda Day in August now 2 days already.

Congrats to your buddy tho!

Yup. You're right. But if this is legit, that means that car is pristine and with that in mind I thought some Honda nut on here might want it.
