well i think I'll just swap the gauges over to my USDM Si cluster and reuse all my warning lights, etc.

there isn't much of a market anymore for the USDM Si clusters on ebay so i wouldn't make much selling the one i have, i don't mind using parts of it. I also like the dimming feature that my USDM cluster has that would not be available in the UKDM cluster.

maybe I'll keep the UKDM parts around and one day i'll switch everything over and add the DA fuel sending unit...

Speaking of which, do you have to drop the tank to install the low fuel warning light sending unit?

I really need to upgrade to a UKDM VT cluster one of these days. The 88/89 cluster just isn't cutting for me anymore.

the 88-89 clusters can't even go past 8,000 can they? at least my 90-91 cluster can go past 8,000, just isn't marked past there.

my tach and speedo are extremely inaccurate. i wonder if the the new cluster will fix that?

I just installed this cluster into my crx about a month ago. Not sure if the previous owner rewired anything, but it was a straight plug n play...

I can confirm that the dimming feature works just fine, along with everything else. As for the low fuel warning light, I don't let the fuel get that low. I didn't even know that this was a feature that came with the crx si's?

Easy way to swap them is take your 90-91 cluster, remove the gauges and install the vti gauges, PNP no wiring

Ready to go in for the mockup of the CF bezel whenever I get back home. At the stage in my build where I have the whole car + engine harness ripped out for paint anyways.

well i'll definately try that first and see if it works out. i checked out a few sites and they all said it needed to be rewired and the dimming feature wouldn't work.

USDM Si's never had the low fuel light. Are we talking about the same cluster here?

you'll lose a TAD bit of lower end torque without them wired up.

Well I didn't get a chance to put my suspension on today because I went to go see Quantum of Solace (badass by the way )

However, on my way home from the movie it was REALLY foggy outside (dense fog advisory for the DC metro area) and I was driving down a backroad and a deer jumped out in front of me. I tried braking but my brakes locked up (wet ground + shitty STD brakes = bad times) and I NUKED the deer. It went flying and then ran/limped into the woods. I pulled over and got out to look at my front end expecting the worst. Not a scratch. Just a bunch of hair in betwen the license plate and bumper. No cracked headlights, dents, or anything.

EF battering ram front bumper FTW

OBD1 gsr has them too. Therefore the obd-1 gsr ecu has provisions for them...whats the problem?

OR just make it easy w/ a skunk manifold. Everything will fit a bit better too.

Just be sure to swap everything from the vti cluster. I tried to swap my si odometer to keep my original miles in tact and the speedo was off (si cluster reads to 120mph while the vti cluster reads to 150mph). on me for being too excited to finish the install.

Just read your original post. I misunderstood what you were trying to do. If you do get the low fuel warning light to work, don't forget to share.

Even if the car was screwed, good thing you're alright

I once hit a bobcat with my USDM/CDM 88-89 front...needless to say I went EF9 front shortly thereafter

well from what i read, you just have to wire the cluster up and use a DA integra fuel sending unit. im not sure what all is involved with swapping the fuel sending units but i'll try. if you have to drop the tank, i probably wont do that unless my brand new Walbro goes bad sometime in the future.

in all honesty who cares out the low fuel gauge. I never run my car below 1/3 tank, im scared of leaning out

I've been thinking about buying a 94-95 p72 ecu or buying one of those "spoon sports" P72 chips off ebay to go in my p28. the motor is obdII.
