Re: the OFFCIAL TURBO Prelude thread!!! (nonvteclude)
adding to the Greddy kit posts...
I know the E-manage is supposedly pretty bad (well, not on par with hondata and such) but i live like where there are no tuners, the closest being like 5-6 hours away. I only drive to school+work, and occasionally just joyrides and random places (my point: i dont drive as much as id like to lol=not very much) Would it be OK just to run the Greddy kit how it comes? its a 97 base model w/ 111k, no problems, very well maintained mechanically. id also upgrade the clutch (will stage 1 be OK for the greddy kit?) i also dont want to have to worry about emissions (hence, greddy kit)
i would eventually add an intercooler then hopefully get around to getting it tuned well. Would a VAFC be better than the emanage? anything else im gonna need?
o yea, im gonna get a 2.5in exhaust and high-flow cat as well
Re: the OFFCIAL TURBO Prelude thread!!! (viper_boy403)
I got a few pix.... but have no were to up load them
btw it went 12.4@130 spinning in first and the bogged second (to about 3500 rpm)... Man I need to learn how to drive again, taking a year and a half off sucks!
Re: the OFFCIAL TURBO Prelude thread!!! (TurboLude97)
Hello everyone,
I got a bit of free time to takes some pictures on my prelude that i am working on. However, i presently do not have enough time to like all it's modifications. If there any questions, please feel free to ask. I will get back in a timely manner. Enjoy!

how far are ya from getting car running well boosted? Im waiting on my freakin motor so next month i will be spending cash $$$$ like crazy ouch!!!!!
My car should be done by Sunday with only a nice basemap by a pro tunner @ Phantasm Motorsports where I live. Then I will have to set up a time to get it tuned and what not. I wanted to do it all one time but it looks like im going to have to wait till next week. The car is going in on Friday and should be done by sunday
People say you're not supposed to boost in 4th gear, do 4th gear pulls after you're boosted. That true? They're referring to boosted Hondas still with a stock engine doing 5-7psi.
I find it hard to believe it's ok to do it at the Dyno but not anywhere else.

hey guys i have one very quick question. for those of you using log manifolds, how long are your oil feed and return lines? i'm looking at a spoolin performance kit and i'm just worried it won't reach all the way.

I think you mean 5th gear pulls. A lot of stress is being put onto the motor when boosting hard in 5th gear.
i was just wondering what were some of the fuel pressures some of you guys are running on ur boosted ludes. i have a boosted f22 prelude with a fresh rebuild on it. i have a chipped ecu and a adjustable fuel reg, i wanted to check what pressures you guyys are running so i can adjust my pressure to get my car ready to go tune. thanks for the help, sorry for the scrambled thoughts.

Well everything is in except the gauge pod and a fitting that I dont have for some reason and had to order from Greddy. I have just about had it with this project. I saw my car today tho with the bumper on and it looks sexy with that Front mount lol. Dfw you dont know how upset I am right now. Seems like everything has taken twice as long with missing bolts etc. I guess thats the price you pay when you buy stuff used.

i'll try to measure mine when i get a chance.
my feed line is 2 different lines: its about a 3' line off the back of the block to a Tee, then about another 3' line from the Tee to teh turbo
return line is about 1.5'

thanks. so should i look at getting about 6 ft of line for the feed? the Tee you mentioned, is that just for connecting the two lines or does it have another line coming out of it going someplace else?
no, dont get 6' of line because you wont be able to cut the stainless lines and attach the 2 ends to them.

this is my first line coming from the block to the Tee fitting that i mentioned. i needed the Tee for my stock oil pressure sensor, plus my oil pressure sender for my gauge.

this is my second line coming from the Tee to the turbo, except i didn't get the fitting that is shown in that picture
