Spray paint can MISSING ball inside!!
Is it alright to still use spray paint if there isn't a ball inside? I have 3 cans, two have the ball inside and the third one doesn't. Odd, never had that happen before. I'm wondering if it will still mix well or....???

hm, no idea.. maybe you can just take it back and exchange it with another one?

Some paints you are not supposed to shake cause they cause air bubbles and maybe with the ball inside it makes bubbles. So no ball. Maybe

Hopefully it is just a stuck ball...I don't feel like dealing with an exchange...having it ordered in to the store, blah blah. I'll beat the hell out of the can when I get home and post the results. Hopefully the can doesn't get all dented and develop an aerosol leak. Lol!
that's usually the case, a stuck ball. the reason the ball is in there is to mix up the separated materials.. when it sits on a shelf for a long time it gets the thick **** built up on the bottom of the can and the ball gets stuck. like GuNnErGoD said, hit the bottom. what i do instead of hitting it on the floor, is i hit it on the bottom of my shoe. whack the **** out of it and it won't damage the can!
I hit it on the floor, on the railing of my deck, on the pavement...dented the bottom of the can. Went to Napa today and they said it was a stuck ball....they shook it for a while, ran it under hot water, etc. And I said I wanted an exchange...they couldn't get the ball unstuck either. So I will be getting a new one today. As well as another can.
ah fair does that its sorted....but yer all it does is mix the paint in the can together...the oils usually seperate over time....you can just shake the can with no ball and after a while it will mix anyway.....but its sorted so no problem
