I hope they are everything people said they are.
To make things easier, I suggest putting the bulbs in the housings first, then connecting them to the ballast. That way you don't have to worry about the ballast dangling around, making things complicated, while you try to put the bulb back in.

I urge you to park about 40 feet from your garage or a flat wall and take a picture of the output.

They all suck. It doesn't matter what Brand. I wonder why people bother wasting money on these. There are halogen bulbs that are better.

Dont worry, ill post pics. Not really sure how it will turn out.

Sportel, not all kits look like that, i promis.

I opend the box up, and planned to install them last night but we lost power around 8:30so that put a stop to that.

The bulbs look good, they have a some what large sheild around them, bigger then i have ever seen. If possible, ill take pics with and without the sheild.

The ballasts are tiny, i have never seen anything this small before.

But the harness is where i went , it is deffiently going to have to be cut up and re made.

Ill try to snap so pictures to night when i get off work, if my camera will ever charge

So they are in and work great, install is basicly idiot proof.
But as I suspected the harness looks like *** in the bay. It will be tucked along with ballasts.

It does have the normall glare as all pnp kits do, but as far as I could tell hardly any. I was only a few feet from my wall though.
Hi beams work great, and puts the beam up about 2 feet, again I wasn't to far from my wall.

No plug and play kits look like the 2nd picture. They never do and never will.

ALL properly done retrofits look essentially like that.

I never said pnp kit will look like that, i meant not all PNP kit's look like the first picture.
And they dont. Im not saying they wont throw glare, but not every kit throws light all over the place.

Ok guys, I have a couple pics they arent very good, but bear with me, i will get better pics soon. My camera decided to quit after just 2 pictures tonight so thats all i have.

I dont have pics of it agaisnt a wall due to it raining and just being very cold. I do have pictures of it from 15-20 feet away. Please understand my camera sucks, the car isnt nearly as bad as the camera makes it seem.

This is a pic of the sheild.

And here are some output pics.

I'm glad you at least got a white kit. The shield looks interesting I'm curious what the output looks like. Looks like it stops the bulb from casting light on the bottom of the reflector housing and therefore reducing a lot of the upward glare.

Yes, the sheild was quite interesting to me also, I never seen one as big.

In person, the sheild stops almost all the light from getting to the bottom, which is the key to stopping glare.

Output pics will be coming, we're in the middle of a snow storm so I can't do much. There is a noticable line where the light stops but there is a bit of glare that goes above it, not much but it is there.
Also, my headllights are **** (ebay), and for some reason there is this beam of light from the pass side that seems to go off to no where.
Im working on getting oem lights, maybe it will be better.
The beam pattern isn't great, but isn't bad. It lights up the road pretty damn well.

No, not at all.

If im able to get my car out of the garage ill try to get some pics. It is 19 degrees, and there is a sheet of ice on my drive way and it is a incline, so it might not happen.

Ok guys, I told you I would get better pics, and i did. I do have pic's from agasint a wall for you also, in car and outside. The pics are all from the same place, however just taken at different angles. Bear with me, as it is a new camera and I am still trying to figure it out, and I am still aiming the headlights. here are a couple pics.

Here is one from inside the car w/ flash, however i was covering with my finger. It made the pics look weird.

Outside the car.

I was kind of impressed with it, any one else? As I still aiming them they may get aimed higher or even lower, I still havent decieded that yet, also, I will be aiming them side to side to see what i like.

i got my kits from globeautowerks.com because ddm screw me over a lot of times.
shipping takes too long
customer service is bad
their kits are low price... but the way i see it is you get what you pay for.
also the kits from globe autowerks come with their own brackets too so you don't have to worry about the shitty double sided tape.
just my two cents

x2
- 1st kit I ordered from DDM was on backorder took forever to get. On their site it didn't even show it was on backorder..
- 2nd kit I ordered was good. Came in on time but few weeks later one bulb became dim on my dad's 300ZX. Shipped it out and got it replaced for free.
- I just ordered another HID kit for my gf car on 11/6/11. ALL kits come from China now. I guess they don't stock them in their warehouses at San Diego. Just checked Tracking number my package says it's still in China..

This is definately my last time ordering from them. The only thing I liked about this place was the lifetime warranty because they never did me wrong on that. And also that they were located in San Diego. It's a hit or miss with DDM but nowadays imo I think they fell off.

Orangemika on ebay sells some great kits on ebay for 35 shipped. I purchased a kit in 06 and it' still lasting me up until now. Only recent problem was the driver bulb went out good thing I had a spare.

DDM now ships from China!? What the hell. It didn't take too long for me to get mine. Granted I paid for faster shipping.

Either way, if this kit fails it wont be replaced.

About a year later they are still working like a charm. No problems what so ever. I also finaly got around to getting OEM headlights back in it. Beam pattern is MUCH better.

I did notice a touch more glare outside the car, but for the increase in lighting I'll take it. Still to this day I have yet to be flashed by any drivers, don't get any funny looks.

Even when I pass cops.
