Actually no.
My friend was driving my car following me in my dad's car.

Like I said, my hid's were never that bad.

It's not legal

its funny how they are "illegal" and yet about 50% of new vehicles come with them out of the factory. I could understand some other colors being illegal, but as long as you have 5-6K there should be no restriction. As 6K is white anyway.

I cantacted them seller, his stated "I am very sorry to inform you there is no warranty on this perticular item. There was a mistake and a warranty was offered when there truely is none. I hope this doesnt affect our future business."

Acutally, It is not just the high/low hids that have the reflector/sheild. Every H4 bulb should have them regardless of them being HI/LOW or just LOW.
I have only seen one kit that didnt have them and it was a ebay kit.
My friend experienced the exact same situation. Well rated kit, well rated seller.

First, they sent bulbs with the wrong temp rating AND with no shield (as it was advertised with) claiming "We are sorry we said they were 6K's when they are really 10K's. We hope this won't affect future business." (I'm sure that sounds familiar).

So they sent new ones with shields and the correct temp rating BUT they had different hook-ups. Whatever, I just made the wiring work and moved on.

Month later, they stop working. I traced it to the box that controls the hi/low beam. For whatever reason, it stopped doing it's job (should have just went with a low beam one). They of course said the same thing they said to you 98civdx about the warranty. So nice to see that they can lie to your face and claim a "typo" is at fault.

It wasn't a lot of money, so my friend just cut his losses and reverted to stock. Not a huge deal, just pretty frustrating and I thought I'd share the experience.

Anyway, I know there are plenty of people out there using various PnP kits with no issues, but this isn't the only instance a friend of mine has been screwed over on a HID "kit". We will stick to halogens for now thanks, unless any of us feel like going for a retrofit.

PNP kits are illegal, doesn't matter the color.
With that said, some places don't mind 4300k-6000k.
When you start getting blue/pink is where you begin to bring a lot more attention to yourself, including the police.

I was never pulled over for my 6000k but my friend with 10,000k did.
Manly depends on place the place and officer and laws reguarding blue or other color lights.

Well ive never heard of anyone getting pulled over here for White or Yellow HID's. My friends mom got pulled over for blue HID's because he put them on her car, but there was no ticket or any action he just let her go.

Actually the higher the number the less light they put out. The color might just be more noticeable. But the 4300k and 5000k kits are the brightest without a doubt.

"Blueish" for regular use is a weird way to put it. Real HID's from Mercedes, Acuras, etc are not blue. Period. Any blue you get from them is because you're in the cutoff.

OEM hid's are all 4300k

I have not either, from i gather most cops dont care. They have much better things to do with their time, ( so we think)
I have however heard stories of people being sited for HID's, but it wasnt what they were originaly pulled over for.
Yellow, is a whole other issue. Police here really dont like yellow hid's, fog lights are fine but head lights are illegal, and you will get pulled over if you have them.

Besides, anything over a 6000k is stupid, i persoanly cannot stand blue lights.

Bottom line, what is the best bang for your buck? Quality, function and price. I need some for my EH soon. NO retros.

Yes, it is correct the higher K the less light output you will have.

if your in the bay area in ca. i know a guy who owns a little place called T&R Lighting. he's really good with customer service my mom dad myself as well as all my car buddies go to him for HID and LED lighting for our cars. 35/55 watt ballasts as well as any temp you want/need. the ballast on my mom's odyssey went out and i took it to him and he replaced it with no questions asked and even installed it.. he also had telescopic high beams for his kits..pretty awesome if u ask me

Is DDM a complete plug and play kit for 92 EH? Any other recommendations? Keep in mind: quality, price, function.

Little fyi also, Although DDM has great kits, The double sided sticky pad that comes for the ballasts sucks. I got some gorilla glue velcro and they havent moved on my bike. Oh and where the DDM harness plugs into your H4 plug. I cut the factory plug off and soldered my factory wires to the DDM harness.
