It's all hit or miss, depending on where you go. They're all not the best in quality, and you could either recieve a kit that works without problems or one that has nothing BUT problems.

I recommend DDMTUNING (www.ddmtuning.com) though, I just bought some 8000K bulbs from them when my other kit came with the wrong temperature bulbs and they came in a day since I live in CA. Since you're in Glendora, they'll probably get to your place in a day as well

I had a hid kit from operatic on here, and it was great.

I will be buying a ddmtunig kit, either today or tomorow.

The main difference is quality, a ebay kit at 40 bucks isnt going to be the same as say operatics kit at 130. (what i paid)
Do not buy a hid kit from ebay, i repeat DON"T. They are junk and half of them are DOA.

There is such things a quality PNP kits.

I bought the $40 eBay kit and it came packaged well, and everything worked upon initial hook up - other than the incorrect temperature bulbs. It's all hit or miss.

But obviously, I'd say it really comes down to the customer support at the company where you're buying the kit from, so you're able to get a refund, replacement, etc if anything goes bad.

Customer service, goes very far with me.
Ebay is a great place, there is just a high amount of scammers.

Ebay is very hit or miss, and when you miss it makes you want to do bad things lol

Save your money. Get some good halogens and save for a retrofit. You can buy a decent retrofit kit for $200. Or you can pay for someone to do it for you for about $300.

JD Lighting ftw. My friend ordered a JD HID kit and had no problems with install or since. Came with a warranty but I forgot what it was exactly. You also have to take into account if you want to keep your hi-beams cause then you would need to get a bi-xenon HID kit. Hope this helps.

True, Regardless of what HID kit you get, In an OEM housing there isnt going to be any significant cut off and the light is going to be thrown in a million directions. There will be shadows.

Shadows aren't the problem. It's the glare, no focus, and no cutoff. Shadows never hurt anyone.

Shadows AND glare are a problem.

The truth of it is that the Xenon bulbs are longer than regular halogen bulbs, even if they are labeled as the same bulb size. The greater length of the bulb is what screws up the optics more than anything. That and the increased brightness create all the blinding glare and whatnot. If you are going to go with a PnP kit, make sure the people you get it from someone located in the US. I had an eBay kit back in the day, and it had a "lifetime warranty." Well what they don't tell you, even on the item page, is that you have to pay $20 for shipping from China if you need a new ballast (which you eventually will). That whole process takes about 3 weeks before they even ship it. Dumb. I posted up theretrofit source b/c it would be wise to get at least good ballasts, even if you're going without HID projectors.

It will look cool and give you worse lighting than the day your car was driven off the lot.

I saw that, I just wasnt sure if i was paying extra just to have a halegon high beam which all suck.

Have you tried googling? I would be suprised if someone hasn't posted pics of one with a hid kit.
Or just think about it, very bright lights coming at you. 9 times out of 10 the idiots that have PNP HID'S remove the sheild from the bulb which makes the glare 10 times as bad.
When i had my kit i took tin foil and made the sheild bigger, i have never once had High Beams flashed at me.

I don't have any pics yet, but I did have my uncle drive my car up and down the street the night I installed them and I can tell you there is very, very little glare. Obviously, it's more than what you would see with halogen bulbs, but I kept the shields in my headlights and aimed my lights a little lower to prevent as much as possible. And to be honest, I'm pretty sure I gained more light than my previous bulbs (cheap Pepboys the were on the car already), so it was a good buy.

Haven't got flashed yet, and don't plan on it

Idk, Im gonna email DDM and see, Idk if they have a dual filament HID bulb or what. Im kinda curious also. I know the kit i got for my streetbike is nice. But my bike has a sick cut off plate in the headlight housing.

You know the little half mood shaped sheild thats stock in 96-98 headlight housings that goes over the h4 bulb? Ive always wanted to take that out. Cut off the shield and weld on a flat piece like in a projector and see what it does to the light output.
