whats faster b16a or b18b? what has the most potential? which ones best for turbo?

Well the b16 has more horsepower. But the b18b has more potential...better to turbo

-I am Turbo'ing my B18a, which is fully built by the way. This motor will see upwards of 20psi. hopefully run mid 11's in a full interior civic ex.
-But I have seen a B16a take 12-14 lbs, and run with it on a stock bottom end. stock ecu, plain stock. Ran 12.1 @110?
-As far as all motor stock, the B16a should rightfully pull on a b18b.
The b16a has the vtec which helps out on the top end.

Totally agree. The B18 would take it off the line due to the extra torque, but the B16 would catch up on the top end. And as far as the B18 being better for turbo...? I don't really think so. It's just a question of getting some lower-compression pistons, that's all. The B16 would probably actually be stronger due to the better 1.75 ratio.

I have driven a 90 CRX drag car with a B16a stock bottom end at 14psi and it went 11.8 at 2600 feet elevation on slicks. That says something about the B16, I have never seen a B18b run that kind of power thru it!!
