if you ask a question like this , you might just have to do a little more research before you do a swap . hehe . well the b18b ls is a 1.8 non vtec , the b18c gsr is a 1.8 vtec , the b16 is a 1.6 vtec . the b18c is probably the fastest of these stock . but also cost more . it just depends what your plans are .

the b18b is around 145 hp , the b16a is around 160 hp.. the b16a is vtec and revs higher so is probably faster but the b18b has more torque .. . if you were planning on going turbo down the road i would get the b18b , if your going all motor i would go with the b16a.

if you're going to do the swap then basically not do anything to the engine in the future go with the B16a.

If you know that you will want more in the future go with the B18b.
either for turbo or LS/VTEC or both.

stock for stock, the B16a should be quicker in the 1/4, but the B18B will be easier to drive in traffic and stringer in autocross type driving.

BTW this has been discussed to death in a bunch of other threads...

Exactly. The GSR is by far the best of the three. If you can afford it, just go GSR and be done with it. Of course, if you decide to go further, the GSR will also respond better to mods than the others.

After reading your questions it's obvious you're no where near ready to do a swap. Not a bad thing, but you NEED to learn more.
