It could be your Knock sensor or your Crankshaft Position sensor. if its not giving you a code I presume its the knock sensor. If the CPS wasnt hooked up youd be in a heap'a'trouble. So, my final answer is........KNOCK SENSOR.

It is likely a water temp sensor as that is where the stock water gallery (aka freeze plug) plug goes in. What you have there is likely an aftermarket add-on. I would not worry about it.

It is a 95 B18C1... and yes its from IAS.

I dont think its a knock sensor because the knock sensor is below the intake manifold.
Crank position sensor is at the crank or camshaft.

I could be wrong on my assumptions.

Any other ideas????

Man that is not a sensor at all it is a block heater. You need the cord to plug into the wall so you can keep your baby warm on those cold nights when shes sleeping.
