the only way you can run ctr pistons is if you switch to b16 or itr head. or just use the teg motor for the track only.
i think the compression will be something in the 12's... i might be wrong, but thats what i was told...

no you can use CTR pistons in a GS R head i know someone that did it. the any dohc VTEC B18 or B16 heads are exactly the same, except for differences in the valve train and camshafts.

so i cant use the ctr pistons on a gsr head because the compression is to high? is it worth it buying used pistons or should i go with brand new ones?

why dont you just order the jdm itr pistons... they will raise comp up to about 11.5. or just get some endyne pistons.
its like 300 for new itr pistons with rings... jdmhondaparts.com has them along with other pistons....

Re: what pistons to use for a gsr? (prjctCIVIC)
I have a gsr hybrid hatch with CTR pistons. It runs fine on 92 octane gas!! I just rebuilt the engine and it has about 100 miles on it. I was a little worried about running them ( the ctr's), but I took the risk and it worked out fine. I am still worried about higher lift cams, or using cam gears.(Worried about the vlaves and the pistons colliding) I'll let you know about it when I do. Later

I have been running it for only about 100 miles. I have let the vtec kick over, but I have not taken it past 6k rpm. so I dont know if it will have problems in thehigher rpm. So far so good.
