I recently instaled a b16 tranny in my ef. It worked fine, grinded third a little, but bought it used. then last week all of a sudden it started whining, like a supercharger, i started driving home and on the way, when i went into second it grinded then made a clink sound, i heard something fall and hit the ground, then it wouldnt go into any gears. the speedo stropped working, and when i was towing it home it made a clicking sound when the wheels would rotate. Any ideas? It apperas thayt the shift linkage is still hooked up, so ythats probably not the issue.

 

Sounds like a clutch failure to me.

 

pull the transmission
check the clutch
if the clutch checks out
your FUCKED
i mean you need to look at the transmission closley. like inside it.
