The trouble lies in that the OBD2 computer is going to be looking for emissions equipment and such that just isn't present on OBD1 vehicles. Most people do the OBD2->OBD1 swap to get away with not using such things like secondary O2 sensors and such. You could wire up a completely custom harness, but since you didn't do enough research to find out why they don't really make OBD1->OBD2 conversions, I'll doubt you'll take the time to research and make your own harness. If you have to ask not to get flamed you'll get a flaming just out of principle

you can get the jumper harness no a problem. but a jupmer harness wont do a damn thing in making an obd2 engine work in an obd1 car. to do that you are gonna have to make a fair bit of cutom wiring. such as a hrness for the secondary o2 sensor, and for the CKF sensor, as well as mod the engine harness for the distributor plugs i beleive.

btw i think the other guy isnt full of ****, i think you dont have a clue, but really think you do.

also the car runs and it is really easy you just use the obd2 harness with the obd1 motor.. you just switch dizzy's alternators and injector clips work just fine.. Just had to use a spare p28 on the delsol.. So it isnt as hard as you made it seem

um you didnt convert to obd2 though.

In your first post you said you wanted to use the obd2 engine AND obd2 ecu.

Not that you jsut wantd to swap an obd2 engine into an obd1 car.

If you had said you wanted to put an obd2 engine into an obd1 car and convert it to obd1 that would have been a totally different case.

Maybe you should get a little better at communicating before mouthing off to people who gave you good advice.
