lsvtec vtec not engaging no check engine light HELP

lsvtec vtec not engaging no check engine light HELP
ok here is the problem i currently had a b16 and the vtec worked fine now i have done lsvtec and vtec will not engage all the wiring seems to be fine but it almost sounds like my mains or rod bearings are bad would that cause vtec not to work?

how does it sound like your main and rod bearings are bad? but that could be a reason.. because there would be enough pressure to engage vtec...
when puting everthing back together.. did you put everything back? like the orffices? and the oring in the middle of the head?

yea well all i did when i put the head back on was i put the dowl pins back in and the head gasket and then put everything back on the way it came off. At about 3000 rpms it starts making a know noise like the main bearings would or maybe the rod bearings. Tom i am going to see if there are any metal shavings in the oil so that should tell me a lil more about the problem. But that is right if either one of those are bad that wouldnt send enough oil pressure for vtec to engage. Thanks for the help

well at idle and up till about 3k it is ok but after that it makes the noise like if your rod bearings were bad sorta like a knock noise
