obd2 itr swap into obd1 hatch.... what harness?

Default obd2 itr swap into obd1 hatch.... what harness?

i would search, but i dont know what to search for

im swapping an obd2 jdm itr motor into my 92 obd1 hatch... having a problem with the whire harness... the motor needs an obd2 harness so that everything plugs in, my problem is the obd2 harness wont plug into the obd1 hatch firewall harness?
what harness do u use, or what do i need to do to make it work?

i have 1 slightly cut obd1 harness
1 uncut obd2 harness
1 cut obd2 harness

The obd2 integra harnesswill plug directly into your civics obd1 main harness.
If you have the obd2 itr harness that came with the jdm motor, then your problem is that the harness is for a rhd car.
So you can either:
get a USDM gsr/itrobd2 engine harness
or
you can make the jdm harness work.
All the plugs that mate to your main harness are just on the wrong side.
With a little work, you stretch the harness and make them reach.

Yeah, slopoke is right, I did an OBD2 engine in my OBD1 car and the Integra OBD2 harness worked perfectly.

the plugs for the fuel pump and **** on the car dont seem to plug into the obd2 harness

Or if you want to do it properly withour any extra plugs hanging around, you can get your self a OBD1 B16 Delsol harness which will have everything you need for the ITR swap without any extra plugs...

use the ORIGINAL HARNESS from the car. (dont remove a single wire from the car) cut the injector plugs and swap them with the obd2 plugs to fit the injectors. you may need to swap the plug for the alternator also.

dont buy a damn thing. use the d16 harness and you might have to add a wire or two if it's not a d16z6 harness

imo THIS would be the proper way to do it. you have kept the original harness. you will keep your original ecu (p28). the only change is the injector plugs which you would be changing with ANY obd1 harness to obd2 engine
