I'm guessing it can be done with low boost, 7psi or so. Never seen one yet, boosted auto B-series that is. There's a couple of guys that I saw in http://www.turbod16.com/ with turboed D-series. They were running mid 14's on low boost I believe. One guy was building up his tranny to go into the 13's I guess. Saw a guy here claim that his buddy ran a flat 14 in his stock tranny EG EX on 10psi.

I've thought of this before, the only thing I came up with is a automatic D-Series turbo.
I would say buy a clean EX EG and sell the swap. Buy a TCI Overhaul Kit, TCI Torque Converter (pricey $750-$800), tranny cooler and build the tranny- http://www.tciauto.com/sport_compact.htm. After that make a custom turbo kit or build up the Greddy kit with FMIC, Exhaust and etc. It seems it's okay to run 8-10psi on a stock D16's. I would say you would be faster than a manual EG with the same set-up in the 1/4. It won't be a beast but it should get you into the 13's.

Automatic Honda performance seems to be uncharted waters. No one seems to know much about automatic B-series. People don't try to learn because they're slower and it's easier and cheaper to mod a manual. I would say a turbo B16A2 automatic would be faster than a automatic turbo D-series. The problem is, I don't know if you can beef up those B-series auto's. Maybe Level 10 may sell upgrades for them http://www.levelten.com/. And another worry is the internal parts of the B16A2 transmissions. If something goes, the parts are probably not the same as LS auto's, I don't know. You may have to buy an extra transmission just in case. I would stick with a D16 build up. I'm not sure how much power it would take with the overhaul rebuilt and transmission cooler. The torque converter won't help it take more power but it takes .5 off the 1/4 or more. You can always build up the motor and test the strength limit of the transmission. I would guess 230-250WHP wouldn't be out of the question, but who knows. You would be one of a few people in the country with a modified automatic Honda. The good thing is that spare D-series transmissions should be cheap. You can also go with a Jackson Racing Supercharger set-up if you like. But you'll put out less power of course. <TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by @tsCeg9 »</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">so i shouldn't waist my time trying to do a b series and just stick with D..</TD></TR></TABLE>

Re: SuperCh@arged automatic????????? (Trademark)
your the second person that mentioned level10 to me. I hear there trannys are pretty costly. But I guess if I want to keep up with those 5 speeders I will have to go big. I only wish I could just buy a new leg anybody want to trade..j/k

well in my opinion, the worst part honda makes is the automatic transmission.... so if you going to do anything performance you should defenatly start with a new torque converter such as the street fighter, which isn't that expensive.... and i would also invest in the venom computer module which controls the TCM and sets your ECU to shift faster elimanting the 3 second delay that occurs in autos which leads to tranny slipping... plus the the module upgrades your fuel and map sensor..... but to be the safest, it's always good to just buy a built tranny. i think that this is a good idea cuz not many have done so and remember most hot rods are auto's it's just manual for imports is cheaper..... so go for it

There's some other little company, but I can't recall the name. They charge the same prices though. If you really want a automatic beast. Get yourself a LS1 F-Body, 98-02 Z28 would be the best deal.

I've got a 94 Accord H22 swap and it's auto. I left it that way because everyone has manual and wouldn't it be cool to surprise the crap out of them? Anyway, Level Ten as far as I know doesn't actually sell trannys or rebuilt trannys. They sell a parts kit and will convert your converter into something more aggressive. The kit and the converter both set me back $1000 almost exactly. It shifts much better and it's good to 470whp. I'm starting to tune my H22 more now and going to do some cam and head work and we'll see how it turns out. Don't listen to everyone saying Level Ten is all bad either, it is what you make it.

i have an auto teggy LS with 186k miles, garret t3 42/42 pushing 7 psi. the stock tranny can hold 7psi, i run the crap out of it and it dosnt slip i run 9.54 @ 73 in an 1/8th mile, havent run a quarter but i can take cars on the street that claim mid/high 13's...the thing about the autos is 3rd gear thats the big dog power but its from 70mph to 100mph so highways are fun!!
also level ten trans parts are like $900 for the guts and a high stall converter, they claim that a trans with their internals can withstand 400ft/lbs and can spin 10,000rpm's they can build one for $3,500 or you can buy just the parts for like $450 and have a local shop rebuild the trans with the upgraded parts.
