well that didn't work. let me explain it again. on the pulley there are three close markes and then a white mark about 1cm away. which mark do i use when setting the engine to TDC.

there you are! the three red are timming marks,14,16,18.the one white mark is tdc.line it up with the pointer.cam gears line up parralell with the head. did you read my last post on your post in ef civic.read it,about the cam shaft.

the timing was the hardest part of the swap for me. do you have the bottom cover on? If so use the triangle looking piece and the triangle cut out to align that sight with the white line. If the cover is off, you'll see an arrow behind the crank pulley on block. use that to line up with the line on the crank gear, not pulley. The when putting on the belt have someone else with a 12mm in each hand hold the cam gears steady, lined up just right. When you tighten the belt make sure there's no slack on it at all.
