rescue me... help with swap
I have a 97 Civic DX coupe:
Installed all of this and engine isn't starting up, are these part's compatible with each other:
-I used a modified DX engine wire harness, eg...wired in KS, VTM, VTEC soleniod, IAC valve, TP sensor, secondary 02 sensor, CKF sensor, and some others. i also changed the plugs to match the wires up from 2-3, vice versa... i basically followed Helms wiring diagram step by step.
-Engine B16A2 and all parts from 2000 Si, axles, linkages, tranny, distributor, starter, mounts.
-using a 1998 P73 ECU ITR instead of of 2000 Si ecu because it made my swap a lot easier in terms of wiring into my 97 DX
-do you see any problems why my engine isn't starting up?
-i checked all the ground wires... eg... tranny and engine, oil fluids have been topped up,
-I checked the wiring schematics about many times and they seem to be ok. eg, TP, MAP sensors,
-the engine is turning over, but just not starting up.
-could it be possible of a faulty P73 ECU that i have? how can i check?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Did you plug the green plug at the ecu? That has the fuel pump wires in it.
Did you check for spark and fuel?

The ITR P73 ECU has a built in immobolizer. The ITR key has a transponder in it that the ECU must "see" o it won't start. See this thread:

Hope this helps.

That setup should work just fine. Sounds like a wiring issue to me. Check all the connections and spray a little silicone contact cleaner on them. Also, if you have the wiring diagrams you can check continuity of the circuits. It's a pain in the *** but sometimes thats what you have to do (god knows i've had to on more than a few occasions)

you know what guys.... I think it's my green plug that's giving me problems, the one beside the ecu, C446 female that connects to C331plug. Does anyone know
how to rewire them correctly?
