it'd be easier if you could write out what those codes are actually.

P0450/0453 deals with the FTP sensor. Your 97 Dx coupe may not have come equipped with a FTP sensor. All P2P ECUs do look for the FTP sensor though. How do you fix it - good question. Short of using an ECU that doesn't look for the FTP or to install the FTP and all associated plumbing, there isn't much of an option here.

P0505 deals with the IACV. Are you using your stock Dx engine harness? Did you perform the IACV connector fix/pin swap at the ECU?

Please try and post up more info instead of having people search around for it. Not a lot of people know the P codes so don't post up P0453 and not post up what it actually is. Also, P2P - while a lot of people know that it is the Ex ECU, some don't. Make that info known so people can help you more effeciently.

Mega-Squirt isn't OBD2. You will never pass smog with it since you're OBD2 and require the scanner to talk to the ECU to confirm things are in check.

If you're asking what I would do - I wouldn't have done that particular swap. Knowing that I've got to be OBD2 compliant (I own a 99 hatch), I'd stay that way. So if I dropped in a B16A2 (from the 99-00 Si), I would be using the Si ECU. It would plug directly into my engine harness and since I've got all the emissions crap that the Si ECU is looking for, I should be mint.

I can't make the same recomendation to you because your car didn't come equipped with the FTP - which the Si ECU is looking for. You can't trick the ECU into thinking the FTP is there.

So honestly, I'd drop the stock motor and all stock components back in, go and pass state inspection so you're free and clear for another 2 years and then drop this motor back in. Then you can run a chipped OBD1 ECU (with jumper harness) since you're looking for performance. Not being familiar with the Del Sol, I do know it came with the B16A3 is some years. If that ECU is OBD1, you can try that too.

I know this isn't what you wanted to hear, sorry bro.
