red line 7500 rpms with dohc ecu tell me whats wrong!
my and my cuzin both did our own swap ones a gsr and a b16 my cuzin has a p72 ecu that came with the engine and it wont let him go over 7500 rpms then we did my swap and the same thing hapen but i have a chiped p28 on a skunk 2 program. i dont know if we did something wrong with the swap or what but we want to get this fix does anyone else have this problem with there swap and of so how did u go about fixing it

I also have a skunk2 chipped p28 my redline is 9k...... If it was chipped the resistor should have been removed, so you should be able to rev higher. Are you sure they removed that governor?

yea im sure because the car that it was on was going to 9k all day but i dont think my o2 is connected right do you think thats the reason because it is throwing that code

when u're throwing certain codes the ecu is put into "limp mode", this mode is basically a safe mode, so all the parameters are changed, such as fuel and timing, to be less agressive and safer for the engine. the ecu does this because when there's a cel it thinks something is wrong w/ the motor so it takes these precautions to try and save the motor from any damage. thats most likely why u can't rev as high also.
