Recon Engine....Any Good?
Ran across this website for this engine. Has anyone ever heard about this engine or maybe ever had one? Would like to know some more about it, I am looking at doing a swap pretty soon. Thanks. http://www.reconengines.com/revolutionsport.html

I ran across it too... After some searching I found the price... approximately 12k, like the 'Beast' motor created by Payn and sold by mr Gasket Gsport.
Very similar to the Gsport Beast. Dart head and block for instance. Similar HP. Similar waranty.
I would very much like to have either of these in my CRX. But at 12k for a NA motor it just seems a bit much. If I was reaching for that kind of HP, I would probably go turbo and get a fairly easy 300 or so hp. Course I would seriously consider a dart shortblock if I did that due to the strength of that motor as opposed to press-in sleeves or block guards.
Also, I talked to the Gsport guys in ATL at NOPI. They had a beast in a CRX there. Guy said they expected to lower the price of the beast to around 6k or less. At that price I might buy one. But since that time, I have been unable to find anyone selling it for less than 12k.

Re: Recon Engine....Any Good? (tolnep)
Thanks for the great info, I didn't know that they were that much money. I don't think I would pay 12k for an engine...6k probably. I'll wait for the price to drop also.
