Default Got milk? this motor does...

this is my 2.0L b16a2... I'm running a stock motor now that was just tuned, but I would like to figure out what to do with this block. seems that the sleeves moved, I'm curious to know if I can have the deck shaved and get this thing running again dispite everyone telling this block is junk.

yumm looks good!

the head has been cleaned up, inspected, resurfaced and is good...

if your wondering here's whats done to the block:

JG engine dynamics Pro engine II block job (first rebuild)
JG iron sleeves
Comptech engine rebuild : (second rebuild)
resleeved, bored & honed cylinders
resurfaced, balanced and blue printed
polished crank shaft
custom JE forged pistons (9.0:1)
Moly rings and replaced all bearings
Hot tanked

it also has a crower stroker kit to get the 2.0L

the head has some goodies also:

Supertech valves and valve seals (iron valve guides)
Type R rocker assembly
GSR cams
Toda springs and retainers
Multi angle valve job
Port & polish

What kind of sleeves are those? I dunno, but it looks like a blockguard that's been welding in? Notice the difference in metal color?

If it's indeed a blockguard, I would check your bore to see if they're truly round. A blockguard can warp the cylinders at the top most portion of the cylinder walls and cause an uneven seal with the HG, hence the mayonnaise.

As for saving the block, you can always resleeve it with more "reputable" sleeves. I cringed when you first said "JG"...

When a headgaskets paint/finish comes off like that, does that mean they are going bad? I always thought the paint pulled off like that when it was removed...

Sleeves are okay don't really worry about that it is the installer of the sleeve you have to look out for they didnt seat them properly. You can always have new sleeves put in the block or take it to a reputable shop and have them deck the block and also check to see if the sleeves are seated properly. The milkly mixture is water and oil mixing.

The mixing of oil and coolant/water causes that.

Thanks, but I meant the coolant galley. Because when I open the radiator, I still have little bits of white chunks come up. And for the oil parts, I was thinking about using sea foam. That should be ok, right? Thanks again.
