Default Ccs or filling block

Hi guys! I just blew my motor pushing 400hp onna stock d block, I knew it was gunna happen and was just waiting so I could do my b swap! So the time has come and I'm looking to push around 600-700 hp and I was curious about the ccs if it could handle it since sleeves are a bit outta reach for me. I also saw someone talking about block filling as an "old school" way that should handle it? What's halls opinion on this?

So sleeves are too expensive but you want 700 hp?

Caviar dreams on a Ramen budget. I mean, it can be done on the CSS block with a little luck, but if you're already starting to cut corners, this isn't going to end well.

My last setup I was running 675 for one run so I already have all of the resources and parts for the power so there's no extra money there, but money comes slow and I have heard good things about the ccs, and they gaurentee up to 500hp and I'm more looking for low 600s

I have all the preformance parts and was pushed 675 on my lest set, but the only thing left is the block to do and I'm on a ramen budget as you said lol, I heard good things about ccs, so I think I'll give that a shot.

You have to remember we're used to seeing people come in here with pipe dreams about their soon-to-be 600hp setup that never materializes...that's the reason for the attitude/ jaded perspective.

CSS is certainly better than devcon block filling/ block posting or just running unsupported sleeves, so if the question is - stock sleeves vs CSS, i'd vote CSS 10 out of 10 times. I do worry however that 600whp might be pushing your luck with them

It's all good man, and I may do the ccs and shoot for more around mid 500s to stay on the safe side tell I can afford sleeves. Thanks for your help

daily driver? street car?

600HP is too much for either one, I say stay under 500 for a street car but thats just my opinion.

Figure out your goal and stick with it buy the necessary parts....or learn the hard way D series blocks are cheap

a d series compared to d series are quite a but different actually. Torque is a big factor My gsr has arround 320 torque, so much more midrange power than any d series.

400 HP on the street is just enuff to scare me I personally wouldnt want anymore then that......at this point on the highway it starts getting real dangerous and risky as far as cops
