limits of a GE non o ringed block?
well when i wnet through the groupbuy for my block, the organizer said that 84mm and o ring wasnt possible so i listned like a mindless drone. now i realize i should just listened to myself and asked around more. sigh, anyways, im wondering what are the limits of a non o ringed sleeve/block compared to one that is? anyone w. any light on this subject. thanks,
roby.
lookn for hp in the 400 hp range. also, a builder here locally said that i was just asking for blown head gaskets left and right w/ out an oring...any validity to this statement.?

The orings are just a little extra assurance. You shouldn't have any problems if the motor is assembled correctly and tuned correctly.
