Re: Mini Me Problem (Searched and Confused)
I have a 93 CX Hatch, i currently have a D15B8 Engine in the car right now. I just got a D16Z6 Complete Assembly (Intake Manifold, Throttle Body, Injectors, ECU, all sensors for the head). I keep Hearing of 4 Valve Releif in different year CX Models and people says different Compression Numbers, and use this Distributor and use his head gasket and timing belt and just a bunch of stuff. What is the truth about the swap ? How Much Power will I gain From swapping the head. I am starting to get a little pissed that cars that know if it's a cx model they can romp on like stupid Cavaliers, Sunfires, Neons, Etc. I Need Help QUickly I Want to Swap This Head As Soon as possible. Any Help Would Be Awsome.... And Also I need to what is the best trans for this d-series engine. Iam Saving Money for a B16A2 Swap. But in the mean time i dont want to be Pushed around by anybody.......

Re: Mini Me Problem (Radyjr)
If your motor is a 8 valve motor, I would suggest against doing the mini me. If there is only 8 relief cuts on the pistons, there is the chance that you could do some damage to your motor.
Also, if you do not change out the CX tranny, the gains you get out of doing the head swap won't be fully realized. The gearing in the CX tranny is just too tall, good for gas mileage, not for performance.
I would honestly just suck it up for now and save as much as you can to invest into the B16 that you plan on getting.
FYI: I you do go through with it, you will need the Z6 headgasket, timing belt, distributor, and ecu (p28).
