Default quick block question

ok so im about to build an a6 to drop in my ef hatch to replace the z6/y8 combo......(y8 being the head)......im using the same head, eagle rods, vitara pistons bla bla bla, the a6 block i have had a spun bearing, and it seems as though the rod hit the block at the very bottom, and took out a chip, not too deep, right where you would notch the block for the rods im using......will there be any issues associated with this happening? or can i just notch it like planned and move on? i really dont want do build it and then have a sleeve crack at 300whp cuz of that.....lmk your thoughts

Default Re: quick block question (B18TurboEF)

i would bore it out a little and sleeve it anyways... and your plaining to put 300 hp on the wheels... sounds like sleeving would be a good thing anyways.
