Prelude head swap: which head gasket to use?
I am about to put my JDM 96 H22A head on a USDM 2001 H22A4 block. I want to buy a Cometic head gasket for it. Which gasket do I get? A 92-96 gasket or a 97+ gasket?

lets c if i remember correct. the 92-96 was a closed deck and the newer block was a open deck block, but the heads were pretty much the same. since ur got a 2001 block which is open deck. i would go for the newer head gasket. and double check with your block to make sure all holes are correct and then double check with bottom of your head. make sure u keep the head side ways intake or exhust but never on the bottom or top cause u can warp the head.

all the h22 heads are the same, you dont have to check to see if any of the holes line up, buy a head gasket that is for the year of block you are using, thats it
