Default Piston/valve clearance question..

If we use ITR pistons in a B18A black, with a B16A head, will there be any clearance issues or will it be ok?
2001 ITR pistons/rings
1993 B18A block
1991 B16A head
Thanks in advance
Jay

You'll be fine with VTEC pistons. Reason being is because the valve relief is deeper on the VTEC pistons, giving more clearance. If you look at a SiR/Type R piston next to a LS/B20 piston, you'll see how shallow the LS/B20 piston valve relief is, and you'll know why it's not really recommended to run "big" cams with those pistons. Check out what I posted up yesterday, and the pict I threw up (the marks on the intake side of the piston) - https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=504965
