Default How does this setup sound?????

OK guys/girls I am picking up a 97 DX hatch later this week and have decided to to swap in a B16a2. With the mods that Im about to list, what kind of 1/4 mile times should I exspect? And if anyone disagrees with any other mods, than what do you recommend?

B16a1 w/lsd tranny
CM Stage 4 clutch
lightweight flywheel(Fidenza?)
4-1 header(brand?)
custom 2.25 or 2.5" exhaust with resonator and oval Magnaflow muffler(quiet)
Skunk2 Stage 1 cams
Skunk2 intake manifold
cold air intake(which one? Comptech box?)
throttle body?

The car already has Skunk2 coilovers and si wheels so thats taken care of. Just need bigger swaybars(suspension techniques?), strut tower braces, rear lower brace, Z10 traction bars, rear disc brake conversion. The car will be drag raced and I do plan on roadracing and autocrossing with it, so good handling is a must.

What do you guys think of this setup?

Is the car gutted or going to be gutted? Depending on if you do all the mods you might be able to hit close to the high 14s. Not sure though. Depends a lot on your driving ability. Take it one step at a time though, no need to rush into it. Goodluck.

B16a1 w/lsd tranny..... good, but why not a GSR?
CM Stage 4 clutch.....ever driven a car with a stage 4? you might want to.
lightweight flywheel(Fidenza?)....good
4-1 header(brand?)JDM TypeR, if not get a 4-2-1 for better midrange
custom 2.25 or 2.5" exhaust with resonator and oval Magnaflow muffler(quiet)..if you want quiet I recomend you use a 22" resonator as well, might still be loud though.
Skunk2 Stage 1 cams.... I like
Skunk2 intake manifold....
cold air intake(which one? Comptech box?)....AEM ITR gets my vote.
throttle body?... I like Erick's racing TB

overall I like your choices.

I second the GSR
Yae, stage 4 clutch would be a biatch for the street
I am not too fond of flywheels IMO, I would use $ elsewhere...
I would go with JDM CTR cams for now, you will save yourself some money, and get descent perf gains.... If this is going to stay all motor, I think some CTR, or ITS pistons might be an idea?
This is all my opinion, I think you have a great start though in any case... Good Luck

The car is staying all motor. Im not looking for anything ungoddly fast, just quick and fun to drive.

I have drive a friends turbo 00 Si with the CM stage 4 clutch, and I rather like it(his car is a daily driver). And I have the same clutch in my MR2 and I love it, no complaints at all.

For now Im basically looking to mod as much as I can without actually pulling the head and tearing into the block. This will be my daily driver so Im not looking for anything too wild. Maybe later I'll change the pistons, but not for now.

And the car will be full interior most of the time, I might strip it from time to time when I go race, but not that often.

And BTW, what ECU should I use for this setup?

If you don't want to go with any internals I stand behind the other guys in saying go GSR. You will want the torque. Get the motor in and then worry about modding it. As well try and stay all honda stuff, or at least internally for reliability. For ecu, that depends on if you want to stay obd2 or go to obd1. Personally I say go with a chipped obd1 ecu. Cheap and gives decent performance. But have an obd2 ecu if you have to worry about emissions. Good luck.

Ive mainly decided to get the B16 because of cost. A friend of mine has pretty much talked me into using ITR cams and a ITR header, so at least some will be oem Honda. Im planning on converting to ODB1. Who is recommended for chipping the ECU? Estimated cost? Emissions arent a concern where I live so its no biggy.

Also, what are the real advantages of going OBD1 over OBD2? Is it really that big of a difference? And also, for either one, what ECU is recommended? I do not want any kind of speed limiter if that helps any.
