Ordered my swap today...
I ordered my swap today and I am going to get a JDM H22 put in my del Sol. This is what I ordered:
JDM H22 complete changeover (custom axles, custom wiring harness, etc.)
Skunk2 universal muffler (I'm going to run a custom exhaust with a test pipe)
ACT Street clutch (I would get the Xtreme one, but I don't feel like chirping all over the place)
New water pump, del Sol VTEC radiator, timing belt
Rota Circuit 8's with Yokohama tires, I saw these in the shop, felt how light they were, and decided that I should get them so I can mount some wider street tires on the car
So I am going to get all that put in my del Sol and I am hoping that this setup will give me some better times at the track than what I was getting with my D16 (16.5). I think that I'm not missing anything here, but I could be. And no, I am not keeping AC or PS as I never use AC anyways and power steering is nice, but I can do without it. Anyways, I'd like a little feedback on my setup and I'd appreciate anyone's comments.

I got the motor from a local shop...they order it through a motor importer, I'm not sure which one. In the end though, I got the whole swap kit for 2700 shipped, but that didn't include the mounts or axles...I ended up paying about what I would pay getting it online, but by ordering through them, I save myself some time and trouble.
And I'm with you...I've never seen one in a del Sol either, but I am sure there is one out there somewhere. I am so hyped though...the engine should be in tomorrow from Tampa and then I will probably get to take a look at it on Saturday or Monday...
The thing that people keep asking me is what kind of times I am going to be running in the quarter mile, and frankly, I have no idea. I'm thinking high 13's at best, but more than likely, I think I'm looking at lower 14's...or am I wrong?

Now that must be a killer setup.

I've heard of a few other del Sol H22s and I think most would agree they are best used to race at the track because handling is going to suffer with all the extra weight up front. My friend saw one at the track whose rear end came up off the ground after he stood on the brakes. You should be able to get a high 13 1/4 but i just don't think it would be as fun to drive as say a b20 or b18 del Sol. I have a 93 del Sol that i'm getting ready to put a b20 into.

I think that a lot of it depends on the suspension that you are running. With a suspension that is well thought out, one could still have decent handling with an H22 under the hood. Sure, it'll never be able to handle like one with a B18, B16, B20, etc., but it'll be good nonetheless. And let's face it, the del Sol is never going to handle that well anyways...the targa top really hurts.

Sounds like you've got all the good stuff covered. The H22 should make your Del Slow not so slow anymore I'm helping a friend of mine with an H22A in his 94 DX coupe next week. He got a 95 OBDI H22A complete swap with Accord int. shaft and axles shipped from Steve at H-Motors for $2500. Newman hooked me up with some HCP mounts for a good deal to help him out.
