Re: (Merilious)
Actually it wasn't that bad at all. We droped the stock cross-member put the car up on a lift rolled the motor with the R33 skyline cross-member attached to it and dropped the car on to it, 4 bolts to the frame and that was that. It took us 17 hours to drop the old motor, put the new one in and get everything connected, wired, and fabed up and then driving. Actually lookes like the motor should have been in the car out of factory.

Good stuff, are you the one who previously owned a Turboed b18 CRX? BTW, how much did you pick up the rb25? Was it a front clip?

No sorry that wasn't me. My R33 GTS-25t front clip cost me $1800 shipped to my door...got a really good deal considering that they are all going for $3600 shipped now. It only had 17k on the motor when I got it also....was a really good buy.

Re: my RB25DET 240sx (mini-cRx)
I got it from RacingHard.com. They just started up at the time and were hurting for money and busines, so that is the only reason they gave me such a steal.
I love the RB25 and the only thing I would choose other than it would be the RB26, but I don't have that kinda money. There is a total of $4200 invested in the car and took it to the track last week and here were my results:
1/8th- 8.541@82mph.
60ft- 1.903
which with my gears will put me around a 13.3-13.4 in the 1/4th.
I had allot stronger run, heated them up allot better, reved it up to about 4k and road the clutch quickly so it wouldn't wheel hop.....worked perfectly and was way better then the 8.5 run, probably would have been a 8.3 if not better, but my luck the boards were down on that run. If I would have hit the 8.3 it would have put me at a high 12 sec. I will run it agian this month at the actually 1/4th and am hoping to get that 12.
Thanks for everyones replies!

Didn't go off any guide.....did it ourselfs. Used the stock KA DOHC cluster and dash harness and just spliced into that....a total of like 4-6 wires and that was that.
Do you not have yours RB25 S14 any more?

Re: my RB25DET 240sx (Kamin)
the tach at first worked, I mean the signal was there just was way off. So I put a 1/2 watt 10,000ohm resistor on the back of the circut board between the signal and ground.....cost me $0.10 for the resistor and about 30min of mine time. Works perfectly.

Re: my RB25DET 240sx (DETurbine)
hmm you sure its accurate? the tach reads off cause its set up for a 4 cylinder engine, so since its now getting the signal for a 6 it reads off.
i havent done the math but a 10k resistor dosent seem like it would overcome a 33% diffrence in signal. im running the RB cluster cause the stock white faced 97 240 gauges are gay, so im just trying to see how you did it.
hows it running tho? good?

Re: my RB25DET 240sx (Kamin)
Yes it works great. You will have to take the cluster out of the car, take the face front cover off it, then you will see behind the tach face that there is a variable resistor little adjustment there, get in there with a small screw driver (or anything that will fit in there) and adjust it clockwise as far is it goes. Then you will need to hook the 10k ohm resistor on it and it works perfect.

Re: my RB25DET 240sx (rochesterricer)
I used the stock R33 cross member with the factor mounts on it.
For the tranny mount you just have to switch it around and then make an adapter plate for it. We used a 1/2 inch aluminum plate and made it so two of the bolts went to the frame and the last one was bolted onto the adapter plate...works great and is cheap and easy.
