i did this swap and i am looking on information on whether i need to repin anything. i used the delsol engine harness, pr4 ecu,plugged everything in. but i have no spark and the fuel pump does not cut on. it spins over but no starting.please help

Check all of your connections and grounds.

i've checked everthing three times. i don't understand. i rebuilt the distributer and still no spark. to get the fuel pump to cut on i have to straight wire it. is there anything i could be missing.

Does your CEL turn off after 2 seconds with the key in the ON position?

Also, listen for your fuel pump turning on.

when i turn the key to the ON position, the CEL comes on and stays on. the fuel pump does not come on. i wired it the battery, just to check and the pump works, just not with the switch.

Ok. The main relay or the ECU is either faulty, not plugged in, or you have a blown fuse.

Check the ECU fuse and back up fuse. It's located on the underhood fuse panel on the upper left hand corner looking straight at it. The ECU back up fuse is just to the right of that. Both I believe are 15A.

ALSO.

Check the ACG fuse, which is located right next to the SRS fuse which is also a 15A fuse located on the under DASH fuse panel.

If all fuses are good, then make sure the main relay and the ECU are all plugged in, and ALL grounds are securely bolted/tightened down.

If all else goes, then take out the main relay, and try and swap a buddy with the same OBD car to see if it's the main relay. Also switch ECU's as well.

That hopefully will track down the problem.

The main relay/ecu not turning on WILL cause the Ingnitor to not turn on, as well as the fuel pump. This is the exact reason you are not getting spark/fuel.

Just to add on and be more specific. The grounds include:

Engine ground which is on the transmission.

Engine harness ground on the thermostat housing.

Main relay/dash harness ground which is located near the driver side dash bracket (to mount the dash).

Battery ground (you know where this is).

Valve cover ground (on the valve cover).

Dash/cluster ground which is located just behind the gauge cluster and goes onto a little butt connector mounted on the steering column support.

I believe that's all or the majority of the grounds. Someone please fill me in if I have missed any.
