Fuel pump not getting power...Need help
Its a dc2, but i hate the teg forum and it will be very similar to eg/ek chassis
The fuel pump IS GOOD. we ran a 12v current to it and it primes. But when the key is turned on it wont prime.
When he bought it there was a fuel pump cutoff switch ran to it, we clipped that out and resoldered the wires. How many volts need to be coming out of the harness that connects to the fuel pump when the key is in the on position?
When testing the plug with a multimeter, what setting should i have it on to verify that i am reading a true 12v signal?
thanks for the help

It should be getting above 12v when the key is on, but only for a short time while it primes. But like he said above check the relay or the F/I fuse in the engine bay. Also check to see if the F/I fuse is getting power as well. gl

i have ran into an si that w/out the stock radio w/ the antitheft hooked up the fuel pump is disabled, maybe that is the reason there was a switch to turn it on

Next step needs to be checking the main relay. If the wiring is all good it about has to be the main relay and the relay is the most common problem.
