How much quicker will a b18c hatch be than a b16a hatch?
JDM b18c in a 92 hatch compared to a JDM b16 (sir2) in a 92 hatch. How much quicker will the b18c be in the quarter mile?? I NEED TO KNOW QUICKLY cause i will be ordering a engine on tuesday.

the B18C1 will be faster. The B18C1 has more torque and about 10 more hp! id say the B18C1 will be about .4sec faster in the 1/4mile. Get the B18C1.

BUT...You ask a stupid open ended question like this, yet you give someone important advice in a different thread.............................
Just close your mouth dewd...That goes for others who seriously dont know what they are talking about. Your screwing with peoples cars...alot of people actually take advice on here as useful.

Here are the exact times.
97 civic cx with 97GSR 14.53
97 civic cx with 00SIR 14.80

For the price of B16's nowadays, if you are mechanically competent, get the B16a and start work on a 1.8 or 2.0 liter block. With the B16a, you get a transmission with tighter gears and a head that readily accepts R manifolds. If you are worried about going a few tenths faster in stock form, buy a mustang.

Man dont listen to n e of these people...JDM b18c has 180hp with the LSD if u get it...my friend has it in a 92 civic hatch cx and with intake and exhaust he ran a 14.06 @96 MPH....DJM b16 is a piece of **** they have computer problems...
