Help Car won't stay on?
I have a 2000 Honda Civic Dx. I just built an LS/VTEC (99 CTR head, 81.5mm bore ls block with Mahle 9:1 cr pistons and eagle rods.
I ended up using the stock Y7 harness. I have an obd2b to obd1 jumper harness to a chipped P28. I am using a phearable basemap to run the car until I go to get tuned.
Following this https://honda-tech.com/forums/hybrid-engine-swaps-18/%2A-%2A-obd1-b-series-engine-into-obd2a-obd2b-civic-integra-%2A-%2A-1972711/
I have done the 3 wire to 2 wire IACV mod, I ran vtec and bypassed the pressure switch since I do not have one.
I have an obd2 99-01 b20 dizzy which is 8 pin like the the dizzy plug on my harness. The car starts, but will not stay on I have to give it gas for it to stay on. I am not getting spark in cyl 3 & 4. I checked my wires and changed them out for a new set I had in the garage. Still the same issue. Just to make sure I set TDC and the rotor is pointing at CYL #1.
I first had the CEL #15 for ignition output signal but that has gone away.
Then I had a CEL #8 TDC Sensor. That went away too.
I picked up 2 distributors from a friend to see if the dizzy was bad. One is obd1 and one is obd2 (10 pin) I de-pinned them and wired them to my harness and now cyl #1 isn't firing. There is no way 3 dizzys in a row are bad?
Any ideas? When I get home from work I am going to put my obd1 injectors in. Right now I am using the obd2 y7 injectors. But other than that I am stumped. Going to check if I am not getting fuel. I can't figure out what else could be wrong. Any help is much appreciated.
Thanks
