F20b 1996 Honda civic what wire harness is the best way to go ???

Default F20b 1996 Honda civic what wire harness is the best way to go ???

I have a 96 ek I put an f20b in... I used my stock civic wire harness but there are a couple plugs that do not match up or even plugs that need to plug up that I can't !!! I have the car running with a chipped p28 ecu with an obd2 to obd1 conversion harness!!! What harness should I be using I need help immidetely haven't hit VTec since 30 miles after the motor was installed because of the check engine light please help !!

was your car single cam vtec before? if u have check engine u need to check the codes and start fixing them one by one

It was a single can VTec before the problem is I have a chipped p28 with an h22 base map and the code reader won't read the code !!

jump the service connector. you're now obd1, a scan tool isn't going to do anything.

It is my o2 sensor r and knock sensor and throttle position sensor so in need to figure out what harness to get because this not hittin VTec stuff is killing me!!!

Use the civic harness and modify to fit as necessary. No factory harness will be plug and play here.

I used a Rywire harness to convert the engine from OBD2 to OBD1 instead of using an OBD2 Engine harness and converting at the ECU.



What you *could* do is use a USDM OBD1 H22 MT harness and use OBD2 injector, alternator, and distributor plugs.

No you can't. The prelude harness doesn't even kind of fit the civic chassis. Two piece harness vs one piece.

You're right, sorry. The rewiring would be a lot more involved than getting an aftermarket harness.

Thanks guys I got a single cam VTec harness I'm going to fit to it I'll let you know how it goes doing it this weekend ... I just hate not having VTec it sucks !!
