GEn 1 B16a distributor on ITR head...
Can I use a b16a1 distributor on an ITR head? I am building an ls/vtec and I have a complete ITR setup from the headgasket up, minus the distributor. But I have a gen 1 b16 distributor laying around. Am I amble to use this didtributor?

What car is it for? You can use that distributor only if you have an 88-91 EF. Wont work for an EG(92-95)

If he runs a ODB1 distributor and ECU it should work shouldn't it? Isn't the p30 ecu OBD1? Also doesn't the p30 ECU clip in to the 92 -95 harness? Just a thought I could be wrong.

Okay here is the deal......if you want to run OBD1 this is what you have to do: OBD0-OBD1 conversion harness, OBD1 b16 or b18c distributor, OBD1 P30 or P72 ECu or chipped P28 and OBD1 injectors......This is what you have to run!!! The chipped Pr3 is NOT OBD1. it is OBD0. Your car is OBD0. You can run the ITR head and keep all the OBD0 stuff. Use the 1st gen B16a distributor, 1st gen injectors, and that chipped Pr3. I would recommend running OBD1. Your car will run so much smoother. I gained 18 HP by converting my car to OBD1 from OBD0.
Unless you have the 92-95 harness you will need the conversion harness so that the OBD1 ecus will plug in.
I have the OBD0-OBD1 harness forsale for 175 shipped. That is 50 cheaper than anyone else sells them for.

ok, now i feel really stupid. i have never even heard of OBD0. When did OBD1 start? And I cannot use OBD2 ITR injectors then? I have to use the b16a1 injectors that I have laying around? Damn all this OBD ****!

OBD0 = 88-91 On Board Diagnostics......They didnt have it on
88-91 cars.......so OBD0 or NonOBD whatever..
OBD1 = 92-95
OBD2 = 96->
If you stay with 88-91, then you must keep the stock b16a injectors, b16a distributor and the Pr3.
