can I use a 90-93 obd0 distributor on a 99 LS motor? im doing a swap into a EF and coverting everything to obd1, but i was going to use the distributor converter from rywire. and I was just wondering if it bolts right on to the b18b1 block.

 

I think OBDII distributors had extra sensors (TDC, CKP, and CYP) to detect misfires. The ODB0 doesn't have all of those.

 

well converting everything to obd1 but i dont got a lot of $$$ so ya thats y i was wondering

 

u will need an obd-1 ecu also. i'm not sure if u mentioned that already. Also, i do think the distributor will bolt on, but will not work correctly because u will have an obd-1 ecu. I'm in the middle of mine as we speak. So i'll let u know how it turns out. I'm waiting on rywire to send my harness for the distributor. Good luck

 

ya i have everything for the obd1 coversion execpt the distributor. If it doesnt work since its a obd0 why would rywire make a coversion adapter to make it plug right in to a obd1 plug?
