G23 ideas... searched already
So I have spent the past couple hours reading on the G23 build and I am satisfied after using the search. Wanna do it to my 99 Accord EX 5spd.
With:
Stock trans, drivetrain, etc.
Upgraded clutch/flywheel
Basically no crazy h2B things or whatever.
BUT
I still have some unanswered questions that I am 99% sure have not been addressed here yet.
1. People are using the stock F23 rods and crank and turning over 7k rpms... Is that bad? I know my F23A1 VTEC can go up to 6,200
But isnt that too much for the stock bottom end to handle?
2. Is it possible to put the entire h22 rotating assembly into the F23 block minus pistons (which would be K20) ?
This q is a longshot, but I am very interested in doing this build, and trying to figure out every possible combo for the power and reliability i want. Looking for 230-250 hp NA. Willing to go the extra mile to bore out the block for oversized pistons, etc.
Any input is greatly appreciated. Again, I apologize if these specific questions have been covered already but I did search and read A LOT.
Thanks!

Re: G23 ideas... searched already
IMO: if your guna put time & $$$$ into your build you dont wanna cut corners or leave weak links in a engine that "will" have the limits pushed. i bored mine out to 87mm im not sure if you can go any higher w/o sleeves. ive read people are using the K24 crank in their "H" or "F" - K20 rbc im on the h22 head. i suggest getting better rods, forged pistons, valves springs, arp head studs, and go H2b! heres a few threads.... GOOD LUCK!

Re: G23 ideas... searched already
The stock rods and crank should be fine. A lot of people do this, and they last fine. The bottom end is has such a large size, and the parts are so strong, that most is fine left untouched. BUT, people expecting their swap to last a while, or are expecting to boost, or built the engine up a lot, I suggest some aftermarket rods/etc. Also, I do not believe the H22 Assembly will fit.
