That's why I said to find a reputable shop. You buy from somebody that you don't know, you don't get pictures of the product that you're purchasing before its shipped and you're asking for problems. To actually go over seas to purchase an engine or clip would be rediculus but if you're purchasing an entire car than it might be worth it.

The second option is harder than it sounds</TD></TR></TABLE>

yeah because the customs agent won't cost anything? study the law? what if the law states you need to have an export or import license? what if the law states that you cannot import a car without dot approval? then what? you've then studied the law to find out it's easier and perhaps more efficient to buy from an importer or exporter... which is basically what it comes down to unless you buy in bulk and plan on distributing to turn a profit.

ok, my clip was shipped out ... it's coming by sea, so it'll take 2-4 weeks for it to arrive ... then another week to 2 weeks for customs clearing, shipping and installation time ... I'll continue to update as time goes

hm, thanks ... I would've gone with one of those shops, but whenever you create a thread on honda-tech asking about reputable shops, all people say is "SEARCH!"

thats because there is a 32 ******* page thread stickied at the top of this forum that talks about nothing but where people got their engines and how satisfied they were. so yourself for being lazy and not doing your own research.

sorry about the attitude but when people make threads on how they get screwed by a company that is WELL KNOWN for screwing people then they get mad because when they asked about the company people just said search, you know the person didnt take 5 minuets of their time to research where they were sending thousands of dollars. call me crazy but all the engines ive bought for myself and customers i know the company i send the money to and know the reputation.

ok, well seeing as how a lot of Asia just got hit with a massive earthquake/tidal wave ... this may delay things a bit

(as much as it sounds like, I'm not trying to be insensitive to the 22k+ deaths)

hm I got a call from the dealer yesterday ...

I guess the clip will be here between Feb 2nd - 15th, due to a very busy time at the seaports

we'll see ... I'll post again on the condition of the clip and such when it comes in

yup ... I've sorta gotten over the "angry" stage and kinda moved on to the "whenever it will come, it will come" stage. ... but I moved onto that stage about a month ago...

anyway, like I said ... Feb 2nd - 15th ... if it doesn't come by the 15th, I'm gonna give someone an *** kicking
